I love shooting weddings. After the first few weddings I was involved in I started looking for personalities, relationships, and story lines. I started creating “comps” or composites to tell the story of the wedding. Here’s some for your review. Incidentally, I talk to couples about having a “first look” versus waiting until the ceremony to see each other for the first time. SACRILEGE you say?!? It seems that way at first. Take a look at the 4-up composite which has some text “First Look”. It’s a very intimate moment and you can involve as many people as you wish. Emotionally it’s much less guarded. It’s the first time I saw a father-in-law cry! From a photographers point of view you are going to have more time and get better pictures on the day of your wedding of you and your spouse in your wedding dress. Logistically it’s advantageous.
