Wedding Second Shoot

I had another opportunity to second shoot on June 10, 2010. I really do enjoy being part of a team although I do think it’s the right time to venture into wedding work for myself. I keep my thoughts to myself working for others and play the zone or role I’m assigned. I enjoy it and it’s even relaxing not having the weight of the whole day on your shoulders.
I’m posting this gallery of wedding work for photographers who might hire me but also for brides looking for a photographer. Keep in mind if I get a shot of the bride it’s because I stole a moment with her and had just a few seconds and made the best of it. The same with the groom and groomsmen usually.

The slide show here covers just the first 90 minutes of the day. Through the ceremony and up until the time they started eating. The ceremony was in brutal heat in full sun though the sun was approaching the tree line. I used my flash as fill and the sun as the key light on the guests. I also had someone help me with some off camera lighting. In addition to that I played around with radio triggered flashes creating some “light traps” to get some interesting lighting. Other shots are created with my Fresnel equipped continuous light.
