The beach portrait! My extended family does a yearly jaunt to Edisto South Carolina just south of Charleston. The key to any portrait is lighting and in this type of portrait that’s especially important. There are many factors to control to keep all the tones rich. Fortunately we had an overhead tarp to control the overhead light. Then by adding some directional light from a pair of Speedlights sync’d together I was able to get a colorful background and an ocean view.
